PenSHRM and the Peninsula Chamber of Commerce are partnering to offer a series of learnings focused on Developing Talent Pipeline. HR Professionals and Community Leaders can join, speaker Renea Banks to discuss hiring resources. Renea will address SHRM’s initiative to employ abilities at work and ways to continue to build on our local labor pool and strength of our economy.
Learning Objectives:
- The benefits of employing people with disabilities
- Incorporating the hiring of people with disabilities into your overall recruitment strategy
- What disability inclusion training is for managers, owners, leaders and overall HR professionals
- Developing disability inclusion initiatives in your organization
Renea is the Chief Human Resources Officer for VersAbility Resources. She holds two Masters degrees, one in Education and the Second in Human Resource Management. She is an Old Dominion University Alumni and a proud Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. She is also a founding board member and Vice President for The White Sutton Syndrome Foundation, WHITESUTTON.ORG. Renea has two amazing boys and a husband of 15 years. Her youngest son was diagnosed with a rare syndrome at the age of five months and her mission since his birth has been and will always be to advocate for him as well as others with “Different-Abilities”.
