How to Join a Chapter

Joining a Local Chapter is Easy

Use our Locate a chapter tool or check our List of Chapters and go to their website.

Each chapter will have information on how to join on their website.

Some will have an online membership tool and others will have a paper form to fill out and turn in.

Check out their Board of Directors. Most chapters will have a Membership Director who can assist you with any questions.

If they do not have a Membership contact, you should feel free to contact anyone on their board to assist you.

You can join several chapters if you want to, however, you can only designate one chapter as your home chapter.

You can “affiliate” or “associate” (name a home chapter) when renewing or joining right in the online form. Should you need further assistance please, contact contact SHRM.

Commonwealth Stem Industry Internship Program (CSIIP)

The Commonwealth STEM industry Internship Program (CSIIP) is a no-fee online system that enables companies to select and hire spring, summer, and fall interns from a large pool of pre-qualifed college and university STEM students throughout Virginia. Funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, CSIIP is managed by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, and is partners with organizationa like Virginia SHRM.
