The Field Services Team acts as a liaison between SHRM and our professional and student members and volunteers by:

Answering questions about membership, certification and other SHRM strategic initiatives
Assisting professional and student chapters remain affiliated
Providing guidance regarding affiliate operations
Attending state council, regional council and other affiliate meetings
Participating in state and regional conferences
Acting as a speaker at chapter meetings, state conferences, and other events as available
Promoting SHRM member benefits
Assisting in the recruitment and retention of members
Supporting potential chapters in becoming affiliated

Membership Advisory Council (MAC)
The MAC serves as an interface between the volunteer leaders and the SHRM Board of Directors. The MAC is composed of one elected representative from each of the Regional Councils. The MAC provides input from the membership through the regional councils to the board and feedback from the board to the membership, back through the regional councils; and provides operational input to SHRM to ensure optimum service/support to and from the volunteer leadership.

Commonwealth Stem Industry Internship Program (CSIIP)

The Commonwealth STEM industry Internship Program (CSIIP) is a no-fee online system that enables companies to select and hire spring, summer, and fall interns from a large pool of pre-qualifed college and university STEM students throughout Virginia. Funded by the Commonwealth of Virginia, CSIIP is managed by the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, and is partners with organizationa like Virginia SHRM.
