Join the Fredericksburg SHRM Chapter for our June meeting as Randy C. Sparks, Jr. gives up an update on the latest happenings in employment law for 2020.
Killer viruses, pandemics, taking temperatures, and CDC sanitation guidelines. Who knew that
all of this fell under Human Resources? And, while we all were busy dealing with a new way of
working, Virginia passed new legislation that possibly provides more rights and protections to
employees than ever before! In this session, we will look at recent legal developments occurring
in the chaotic and unprecedented first half of 2020 that impact HR professionals, including new
legal requirements resulting from COVID-19, considerations for returning to work after a
pandemic, and the Virginia Values Act—new legislation that has the potential to change the
landscape of employment law in Virginia—so you can help your company navigate our strange
new business world.
